This is how Argentinian Malbec should be. The Cassone family came over to Argentina from Italy in the 1800s, though they only started to make wine in the 1950s. The vines are now between 70 and 90 years old, adding amazing intensity and complexity into the flavours we taste in the bottle. The vineyards sit at close to 1000m above sea level, helping to create a more temperate growing season. The Finca La Florencia spends a little time in French oak; a high quality, and great value Malbec.
Tasting note:
Rich and full bodied on the palate, with subtle vanilla, bursts of blackcurrent and raspberry with lots of complexity.
The Perfect Serve:
A full bodied wine needs a big glass. If you'd like to eat something with this bottle, we'd recommend tucking into a juicy steak with cheesy fries, Big Macs and rich meats such as duck and venison.
