In a local dialect, the word decero means “from scratch", which perfectly sums up the birth of this great wine estate, located at the foothils of the Andes Mountain range in Argentina. It's got a unique microclimate and a big variation of soils, making for an incredible array of grape varieties to be grown here. Remolinos is a vineyard which is hit by frequent but small whirlwinds, whilst this sounds scrary and not good for the grapes, they add to the quality and ageing potential. Remolinos is the local name for these small whirlwinds, too!
Tasting Notes:
A full bodied bottle with loads of personality, capturing the essence of the region famed for those meaty Malbec wines. You'll find notes of dark and brooding fruits, tobacco, coffee and dark chocolate.
The Perfect Serve:
Enjoy in a large red wine glass, either on its own or with BBQ style foods, roast dinners and rich red meat.
