This is a natural, unfiltered wine. Expect a funky, juicy palate with herbal notes. If you're looking for something classic, this is not the wine for you!
The Rubio family have been making wine in the Rioja lta for well-over a century, where the original clay cellar dug by Juan Rubio Hernando to mature his wines in stone vats is still in use today. Made from 100% Viura, Macerado 2020 is a skin-contact white (or, orange) wine. Deep amber in colour with aromas of baked apple, olives and honey; the palate is fresh yet ripe, with nutty notes and a touch of bitter spice. It's a superb pair with bolder, spicier flavours - or our favourite, Nando's peri peri chicken.
